The Sigma 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary Lens is a groundbreaking all-in-one zoom lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. Covering wide to super-telephoto in a portable package, this ultimate travel lens further impresses with quick AF, powerful OS, and surprising macro capabilities to suit a wide variety of shooting needs.
Offering an amazing 18.8x zoom, this 16-300mm offers a 24-450mm-equivalent focal length range for APS-C cameras, making it the perfect all-in-one zoom to handle virtually any shooting situation. At the wide end, the lens suits architecture, interiors, and landscape subjects; at the long end, it's capable of photographing distant action and wildlife; and throughout the middle, the lens suits everything from portraits to close-up subjects to street scenes and more.
Combining quick and accurate focusing performance with robust image stabilization, this all-in-one zoom is poised to handle virtually any subject or situation:
- HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) quickly and accurately moves the focusing group for fast focus switching and nimble tracking of fast-moving subjects.
 - Matching the focal length versatility, this lens also offers a 1:2 maximum magnification ratio at the 70mm position for close-up shooting. At the wide end of the lens, the magnification is 1:3 and it is 1:4 at the telephoto end.

Helping to achieve sharp and stable images, this zoom features a powerful image stabilization system that compensates for 6 stops of camera shake at the 16mm position and 4.5 stops of shake.
Powered by Sigma's OS2 algorithm—the same used in Sigma's larger super-telephoto lenses—this stabilization system suits the versatility of the lens itself and helps reduce camera shake and blur for handheld reliability, even when shooting in low-light and at the long end of the zoom range.
- Including a series of low dispersion glass elements and four aspherical elements, the lens has impressive aberration correction, high sharpness and clarity, and accurate color rendering throughout the zoom and focus ranges.
 - The optical design has also been tested and adjusted to resist flare and minimize ghosting in a variety of lighting conditions.
 - Focus breathing is also well-controlled to benefit filmmaking applications and photographers working with multi-shot composite processes.

Compact, Lightweight, and Durable
- Despite the massive zoom range, the lens remains relatively compact and lightweight to serves as an ideal travel lens: it measures 4.8" long and weighs 1.4 lb.
 - Dust- and splash-resistant seals for reliability in inclement weather conditions.
 - The front element features a water- and oil-repellant coating that is especially easy to clean.
 - Zoom lock switch at the wide end prevents the lens from extending when stored.
