This unit is a must have for the DSLR user who does not have an external speedlight. It does an excellent job of turning the small point of light from a pop-up flash into a larger, softer point of light with which to light your subject. This allows for even light, less shadows, and a generally pleasing result.
The only downside of the unit is the price. It is a bit expensive for what it is, but it does make a big difference in your shots.
I found that using the Puffer and playing with flash compensation settings, I was able to take some of my best flash pictures yet. Until I can afford to get a speedlight unit, the Gary Fong Puffer will be on my camera whenever I use the flash. I hope you like it too!
