High image quality is maintained throughout the entire zoom range and the super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting.

The lens design incorporates an inner focusing and inner zooming systems. The overall length of the lens does not change during focusing and zooming, ensuring convenient handling. It is possible to attach optional Sigma APO teleconverters.

  • Three Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) and two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements ensure superior optical performance throughout the entire zoom range – compatible with Sigma 1.4x EX DG and 2x EX DG APO teleconverters.
  • The Hypersonic Motor (HSM) ensures silent, high speed auto-focusing as well as full time manual focusing capability.
  • This lens design incorporates inner focusing and inner zooming systems so the overall length of the lens does not change during focusing and zooming, ensuring convenient handling. *If the camera body does not support HSM motor, AF will not work.
